Contact Information: Linda grew up in Southern California, attending Redondo Union High School, El Camino College, and Cal. State University, Long Beach. She has a B.A. and M.A. in Physical Education with an additional 24 units in health. She returned to take UCLA Extension classes in Online Teaching and Instructional Design. She has taught at El Camino College since Fall 1977. She became the aquatics specialist at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College Fall 1995 and started the Aquatics Certificate Program in Spring 2000. She joined the District Academic Senate Technology Mediated Committee one year later and began teaching the Body Conditioning Class on the World Wide Web during Spring 1997. She began teaching Health 11 Online spring semester 2000 and added Health 8 during Spring 2001. Linda was part of the original @ONE Faculty Team. @ONE is a state-wide community college technology project funded by the CA Community College Chancellor's Office.  She is currently the Director of Technology Mediated Learning and Teaching and chair of the Distance and Distributed Learning Committee. Her duties include oversight of the LATTC Online Program and support for faculty and students in the program.

 "I want my students to: a) be safe and healthy, b) learn something new each class, and c) have FUN learning and exercising."

 Linda has trained lifeguards, swimming instructors, and water aerobic instructors for many years. Her students are prepared to take summer jobs in the aquatics field with the most current training available. She conducts workshops on the use of Hydro-Tone water exercise equipment and helps water aerobic instructors to include it in their classes.

 She is author of SWIMMING MADE EASY AND FUN, and has been contributing author to the textbooks of the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). She is Instructor trainer for the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety. She is an inactive Instructor Trainer for AEA. She has been included in "World Who's Who of Women," "Who's Who in the West," and "Great American Educators."

 In addition to her background in physical education, Linda has served as Director of Education for the National Public Telecomputing Network. She began the international education program called Academy One for her two daughters. She is one of the founding members of the Los Angeles Free-Net.
